November 25

the long story will come soon.

for now, the short story:

2 years ago we fell in love.

so we waited and waited.
and prayed and prayed.

the answer has always been no. not yet. not now.

but now?
God has said YES!

more details to come,
but *everything*, thus far, has worked out.
and worked out amazingly fast.
we are getting our paperwork together to send to Africa,
and our Ug*andan attorney is doing everything the process requires.

for now?
we finish paperwork,
and pray, pray, pray for background checks to be done quickly
for the US gov't to process paperwork quickly, when we submit it.

and pray that we will be able to raise the $20K ransom to bring our son home.
my Etsy shop is up.
and i've added a paypal button to this blog and my public blog
{which very soon, we will officially "announce" on my public blog}.

our first immediate need?

$2000 to continue the African paperwork.
and $1000 to submit our form to the US gov't.

we'd like to pay our African attorney by January 2nd,
and we need to file the US form within 2-3 weeks.

that's the short story.
for now,
we are amazed that after 2 years,
God has made a clear way.

the blog address comes from i corinthians 2:9,
and sums up how we feel about this adoption:
No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this,
Never so much as imagined anything quite like it—
What God has arranged for those who love him.

thanks for sharing in this journey with us.

  1. Love, love, love, love seeing this! Seeing God so clearly at work, two years ago, 2 weeks ago, 2 days ago reminds me that he's just as mightily at work 2 seconds ago and 2 months from now. Can't wait to see everything come together to glorify Him full-stop!!
